Visa Subclasses

1: Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189)

 A points-based visa allowing skilled workers to live and work permanently in Australia without requiring sponsorship from an employer, state, or territory.

Eligibility: Must have skills in demand listed on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).

2: Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)

A permanent visa for skilled workers nominated by an Australian state or territory government.

Eligibility: Requires a state or territory nomination and occupation listed on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL).

3: Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491)

A temporary visa for skilled workers nominated by a state or territory or sponsored by an eligible family member living in a designated regional area.
Eligibility: Must live and work in regional Australia for three years before applying for permanent residency.

Australia Skilled Immigration Eligibility Criteria

Points Test: Achieve a minimum of 65 points based on age, English language proficiency, skilled employment experience, educational qualifications, and other factors.

Skills Assessment: Positive skills assessment in a nominated occupation. 

English Language Requirements: Demonstrate competent English proficiency through standardized tests.

Health and Character: Meet health and character requirements as stipulated by Australian immigration authorities.  

Australia Skilled Immigration Application Process

1: SkillSelect Expression of Interest (EOI): Submit an EOI through SkillSelect, detailing your qualifications, skills, and experience.

2: Invitation to Apply: Receive an invitation to apply for the visa based on your EOI and points score.

3: Submit Application: Lodge a visa application within 60 days of receiving the invitation, including all required documentation.

4: Visa Grant: Await the decision on your visa application from the Department of Home Affairs.
